Martin Garcia Flores is a Filmmaker/Film-worker, father, and husband, living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Formally, a film school dropout of San Francisco State University, Garcia Flores found a home, working for Roger Corman. There, he cannibalized equipment and assembled likeminded individuals to make his short film LUZ DE LA MISSION garnering BEST AMERICAN FILM at The L.A. International Short Film Festival. When not shooting or writing, he is punching in on friends projects. Currently, he is in production of MEDINA COURT, a radio drama depicting the Chicano struggle of 1940’s and 1950’s Los Angeles in six episodes.
By his own account, he attributes his charmed existence to the cinema gods, Orson, Pier Paolo, and John & Gena, all whom have guided him to work with such eclectic talent from Scorsese’s THE IRISHMAN, to Spielbergs, THE POST to Todd Haynes, WONDERSTRUCK and Todd Solondz, WEINERDOG, and most recently Bradley Coopers, MAESTRO.
